The Best April Fools' Day Jokes of 2015

Here at MerusCase, we really got into the spirit of April Fools' Day as we watched all of the hilarity unravel over the Interwebs! That said, we thought it'd be fun to round up our favorite April Fools' jokes of 2015. So, if you're as much of a fan of April 1st as we are, then look no further because we're bringing you the best-of-the-best!

1. Google's "Actual Cloud" Platform was, by far, our favorite prank of the day! As a cloud-based company, we got a serious kick out of the misconceptions surrounding "the cloud" and thought this video made light of cloud computing in a pretty great way.

2. "We know that 70% of the time, 80% of Americans have a phone in 50% of their hands." That quote, in and of itself, really sets the tone for this hilarious video in which Target introduces their "FannyBasket." Yep, that's right: a hands-free basket that you wear to shop, just like a fanny pack.

3. Hubspot is must-read for our marketing team, so we were total fans of their "desk-free revolution" prank! Although their new desk-free workstations might be fake, their whiteboard walls did give us some inspiration for our own office! ;)

4.  Tesla Motors (yes, the car manufacturer) announced it's release of Model W, a watch that will tell the time and - gasp! - date, no matter where you are on Earth. What a novel concept, right?

5. As you may or may not know, one-third of our team is comprised of UC Berkeley graduates so, of course, Cal's homepage redesign had to make the cut! During April 1st, the berkeley.edu homepage featured tons of space-themed headlines (including "Hoverpod parking continues to be an issue at lunar teaching facilities") and a pie chart breaking down the "enrollment by planet of origin." Pretty hilarious, if you ask us!

What was your favorite April Fools' Day joke? We're always up for a laugh!
