Feature Focus: Drag & Drop Email to a Case

In this week's 3.7 release, with all the wonderful improvements to messages, the timing seems right to mention an old favorite. Did you know that you can drag and drop messages to your recent cases? This is in addition to the traditional way of quickly linking a message to a case.

1. Locate the correct case and be sure the desired case shows up in your Recent Cases list. 
2. From your Merus Inbox, left-click and hold the mail icon in-line with your selected message.
3. While continuing to hold down your mouse, drag the message you just selected to the left-hand panel of your screen.
4. Release your mouse once the message is hovering over the correct case in your Recent Cases list. 
5. Upon release, the message will be moved from your inbox to the case selected.

Note: To drag & drop a message to a case, the desired case must be in your recent cases list and you cannot drag & drop the currently selected message. Also, if your user preferences are set to delete messages from your inbox once they're linked, then this drag and drop procedure will remove the message from your inbox, otherwise, the message will remain in your inbox AND save to the case.

Select your message by clicking and holding on the mail icon next to your message.
