The cloud-based case management software market is becoming crowded; even though most of our clients come from referrals, occasionally a lucky lawyer will find us through their own due diligence and wonder what makes MerusCase vastly better than our competitors.
Most of the new cloud systems take a top down approach, making a system so broad that works for everyone, but in doing, leaving it without the depth most firms require. That philosophy works well for firms that aren’t yet clear on how to best utilize this new technology. MerusCase works well for firms with a clear vision on how they want technology to work for their firm.
We recently spoke with a worker's compensation defense firm in California currently using Clio and they were surprised at the difference in quality. In MerusCase, when you enter a new worker's comp case, you can enter an ADJ number which will import data directly from EAMS, avoiding the time and cost of manual data entry. As we progressed through our demo, the client realized the many advantages MerusCase provides. They can sort through cases quickly, view the parties on a case, create an activity and bill time all from the same window. Most importantly, though, they can create client letters much easier. The client assumed that all letter merging and document tracking capabilities were similar across all case management systems. They didn't realize that a feature in one system could perform much better than in another. "Vastly superior" isn't something one believes when they read it on our website but it's something people understand when they see it.
MerusCase is built with quality in mind, and our clients can see how that makes it vastly superior.
